Daily Bread
Bird Feeder
Jesus of Nazareth said, “Look at the birds of the air. They neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?”

These words are a reminder of divine care. Inspired by this, I transformed a sparrow’s song into form: capturing its soundwave and shaping it into a bird feeder. What was once heard now becomes a vessel of care—an offering of rest and nourishment for the very creatures the verse calls us to consider.

Materials:
Birch Plywood, Steel, Polyethylene terephthalate plastic

Dimensions:
60 inches x 15 inches

Pleasure Pencil
Sex Toy
Every summer, the advertising industry partakes in a ritual of self-congratulation known as award show season. While awards themselves are not inherently problematic, the industry’s obsessive festishization of them, and the idolization of recognition for its own sake, warrants critique.

This work explores the fervor with which commercial creatives chase validation. It’s a reflection on vanity, on the hollow ecstasy of professional acclaim, and on the quiet question lingering beneath the applause: what (or who) exactly are we celebrating?

Materials:
Brass, Polyethylene terephthalate plastic

Dimensions:
7 inches x 4 inches

Rest in Peace
Furniture
Jesus of Nazareth said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”

This work draws on that invitation, holding space for the burdened to pause, breathe, and be gently met by God. Through form and symbolism, it offers rest not as escape, but as sacred restoration.

Materials:
Pinewood, Latex Foam

Dimensions:
12 feet x 5 feet x 2 feet

Behind Bars
Hand Soap
According to The Atlantic, the safest place for an inmate to hide a phone is in their rectum. To keep the orifice sized and supple, inmates have been known to tuck a bar of soap away as a placeholder.

This piece engages that unsettling intersection of survival, surveillance, and bodily autonomy within the carceral system.

Materials:
Silcone, Plexiglass, Olive Oil, Sodium Hydroxide

Baby’s First Amendment

Brian Vandeputte
I’m a multidisciplinary brand creative lead with an art direction background and 13+ years of experience building advertising campaigns, social franchises, and brand systems that bridge culture, strategy, and design.

I’ve worked across agency and in-house teams to help brands connect with audiences through bold, conceptual storytelling and design.

I enjoy collaborating with ambitious teams to solve business and communication challenges through original, shareable, and narrative-driven work, and I believe the best ideas come from clarity, humility, and a sense of fun.
